| This year the annual Haggen Family 4th of July Celebration includes local bands, a kids zone with free activities, vendors, and a beer garden. It all starts at 1 and ends at dusk with a fireworks show over the bay at approx. 10:30 pm. It takes place at Zuanich Point Park. |

| A series of free summer evening concerts in Boulevard Park begin on June 13th at 7:00 pm. The concerts are sponsored by the Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department and are popular so arrive early! Bring a chair or a blanket and and the family to enjoy the music! There will be some fun activities for children led by the Parks & Recreation staff, but parents are responsible for supervising their children. More info: 778-7000. |

Bellingham High School Earns Top Ranking |

| Bellingham High School was recently ranked in the top 6% of all public high schools. Another Whatcom County high school on the list was Blaine High School. The report in Newsweek magazine listed the top 1,500 schools based on a number of factors including the ratio of AP courses completed to the number of students. To see the article, click here |
