Ice Skating & Hockey
There is only one ice skating rink north of Everett and it is in the Bellingham Sportsplex. The Sportsplex is located in the Civic Athletic Complex near I-5 and Lakeway Dr. The Sportsplex offers learn to skate classes, public skating sessions, parties, and freestyle skating sessions. The rink is home to the Whatcom Warriors Hockey Club and the Bellingham Figure Skating Club.
Bowling
Bellingham's two bowling alleys are 20th Century Bowling and Park Lanes Bowling. Great fun for parties and year round recreation for all ages. 20th Century Bowling is located downtown and Park Lanes is on Meridian St. in north Bellingham.
Swimming
There are several indoor swimming facilities in Bellingham that offer a variety of programs. Whether you need lessons, want to train for a triathlon or just want to have some fun, family time with the kids, there are several options in town. Below we have listed the places with indoor pools.
Arne Hanna Aquatic Center offers swim lessons, lap swims, family & open swims, water aerobics, kayaking and more. It has four pools including a 25 yard long lap pool, a beach-entry instructional pool, a dive tank, and a hydrotherapy pool for ages 16 and up. There is a 135 foot water slide that runs into the shallow pool. The Aquatic Center is home to the Bellingham Bay Swim Team.

The Whatcom Family YMCA is a full service atthletic facility in downtown Bellingham. It has a 20 yard long pool and offers a variety of programs including swim lessons, water aerobics, water fitness, open swim, lifeguard training and more. There is also a small kiddie's pool that has a maximum depth of 2.5 feet. Both pools can be rented for parties and the large pool can be converted onto a wave pool.

There are a number of full service athletic facilities in Bellingham. We have included a list below.
Whatcom Family YMCA The YMCA is located on State St. in downtown Bellingham.
Bellingham Athletic Club The BAC has two facilities, one downtown and one on Meridian St.
Bellingham Fitness A full service health club in downtown Bellingham.
Roller Skating
There is one roller skating rink in Whatcom County and it is in Lynden. Lynden Skateway is about 12 miles north of Bellingham. Another roller skating facility closer to residents in the southern part of Bellingham is Skagit Skate in Burlington.
