Soccer is a popular sport in Bellingham and Whatcom County and there are many opportunities for kids and adults to play. Whatcom County Youth Soccer Association provides both recreational and more competitive level soccer programs for ages 5-19. Outdoor games are played at the Northwest Soccer Park, a large soccer facility located just north of Bellingham. The field is big enough to fit 12 full size soccer fields and on Saturdays the place is busy all day long with hundreds excited young soccer players and their parents. This one location makes spectating very convenient for parents with several soccer players since all the recreational spring and fall games are played on the same field. For kids with a little more competitive nature, the WFC Rangers offers several boys and girls select teams for ages 12 through high school.
Adult Soccer - Don't let the kids have all the fun. The Whatcom Adult Soccer Association has teams for men, women and coed.
Indoor Soccer - During late fall and winter, many soccer players play indoor soccer at the Bellingham Sportsplex. There are two indoor fields for the fast-paced indoor soccer games, a smaller one for elementary age kids and a larger field for ages middle school through adult.
