Mt. Baker Ski Area is a 90 minute drive from Bellingham and has runs for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The Ski Area is host to one of the chief snowoarding competitions, The Legendary Mt. Baker Banked Slalom.
Mt. Baker recorded a world record 1,140 inches of snowfall during the 1998-1999 season!
During Memorial Day Weekend, Whatcom County's annual Ski to Sea Relay Race (right) begins with Cross Country and Downhill Ski Legs at the Mt. Baker Ski Area.
